Listed below are the Japanese terms used in Chikara Shinai Ryu. Only the commands or terms we use in class are Japanese, everything else is plain English!

For the beginner student, the numbers shown below and the word YAME (STOP) are the Japanese terms to remember first. Then as you progress, you will be expected to remember all of the following terms:
